Therapies

Hancock County Home Care offers Physical Therapy services performed by licensed therapists who evaluate and treat people with physical needs resulting from injury, illness or surgery.

Physical therapy services include but are not limited to:
  • Patient evaluation
  • Home evaluation
  • Therapeutic home exercise program
  • Muscle strengthening
  • Gait training
  • Transfer training
  • Prosthetic training
  • Balance and endurance
  • Safety assessment
  • Joint replacement therapy

Hancock County Home Care offers Occupational Therapy services when difficulty with self-care interferes with patient health and well-being.

Occupational therapy services include but are not limited to:
  • Patient evaluation
  • Home modification
  • Adaptive equipment
  • Energy conservation
  • Fine motor coordination
  • Independent daily living skills

Hancock County Home Care offers Speech Therapy services for those patients who are having difficulty swallowing or speaking. Patients needing speech therapy home care services have often, although not always, suffered from a stroke.

Speech therapy services include but are not limited to:
  • Patient evaluation
  • Speech exercises
  • Swallowing disorders
  • Cognitive training
